Access in Summary
Transport
Buses stop along Turners Hill to within 150 metres of the Police Station. Cheshunt Railway Station is a little further afield approximately half a mile away at the bottom of College Road.
Car Park and drop off
There is a visitors car parking area located to the right hand side of the Police Station when viewed from the front. The car park is accessed from Turners Hill. The parking is no more than 25 metres from the public entrance. Visitors may also drop off in a small service road which runs to the front of the Police Station, again accessed directly from Turners Hill.
Access at Entrance
The public entrance can be accessed via a ramp or steps both of which lead to wide inward opening double doors into the reception area. The entrance is located to the right front corner of the building just into the access road for car parking.
The ramp to the public entrance is some 8 metres in length on a moderate upward slope. Handrails are provided to both sides of the ramp.
Reception
The reception desk is situated in a lobby area and accessed directly from the public waiting area. Seating is available in the reception waiting area. Some customers may find the reception desk a little high but reception staff can provide alternative service in adjacent interview rooms if required.
Facilities
A bell system, set at accessible height, in the reception waiting area allows visitors to request assistance from reception staff if required.
A portable induction loop is available at reception for visitors who may require the service.

Once inside the building all areas of the public reception are on level access.
